Garden & Grounds

Garden & Grounds gathers Scottish businesses rooted in cultivation, climate and the long patience of growing things well. These are nurseries and garden centres shaped by place rather than fashion, from Perthshire and Argyll to the hills above Loch Ness. Their work carries knowledge built over decades: what survives in Scottish weather, what thrives in difficult soil, and what rewards care across seasons rather than weeks.

This section of the Scottish Mercat celebrates horticultural enterprises that remain practical, expert and deeply local. They grow plants, preserve collections, maintain gardens, advise customers and keep alive a quieter form of Scottish craft. In their hands, gardens are not decoration alone. They are living ground, shaped by memory, skill and the discipline of working with Scotland’s own conditions.

Alongside plant production, the site includes display gardens, a retail nursery, and associated facilities.
