Square advertising

Square adverts use Modern Scot’s clean 500 × 500 px ad block format.

When a square advert is booked, Modern Scot assigns the next available block in the selected section or region. This keeps the booking process simple while preserving the existing page-based advertising inventory.

Advertising is available only to advertisers with a genuine Scottish connection. This includes businesses, charities, sole traders, makers, services, properties, products and organisations based in Scotland, or clearly serving Scottish residents, Scottish communities or visitors to Scotland.

Before payment, you will be asked to confirm your Scottish connection, upload your advert, accept the Terms & Conditions and confirm that your submission is subject to review.

All advertisements are reviewed before publication. Most approved adverts are placed live within 1 to 24 hours. Your advertising period begins only when your advert is approved and made live.

Modern Scot may decline or remove unsuitable, misleading, non-Scottish, technically defective or non-compliant advertisements in accordance with its published terms.
