A technology consultancy that chose Glasgow for its first European headquarters has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women, highlighting the city’s growing role in attracting international professional services businesses.
Invisors, a Workday consulting firm with its European headquarters in Glasgow, has been ranked 65th in the 2026 UK’s Best Workplaces for Women list published by workplace culture organisation Great Place To Work UK.
The recognition comes three years after the American company established its first European office in Glasgow, selecting the city as the base for its UK operations and graduate recruitment programme. At the time, the company said Glasgow’s technology talent, universities and business support had influenced its decision to expand into Scotland.
Unlike many corporate awards judged by a panel, Great Place To Work’s annual rankings are based primarily on confidential employee surveys. The organisation says this year’s workplace lists drew on feedback from around 285,000 employees across the UK, alongside assessments of workforce representation and workplace policies.
The women’s rankings recognise organisations where female employees report positive workplace experiences and where employers demonstrate efforts to remove barriers to career progression.
Jennifer Donnelly-Corbett, EMEA Manager for HCM and Absence at Invisors, said the award reflected “the culture we’ve built together—one that values inclusivity, flexibility and empowerment.”
Great Place To Work UK Managing Director Benedict Gautrey said the organisations recognised had created environments where women felt “supported, valued, and able to grow,” adding that employee feedback showed such workplaces often demonstrated greater resilience and stronger organisational performance.
Founded in the United States, Invisors specialises in implementing and supporting Workday, the cloud software platform used by organisations to manage human resources, payroll and financial operations. The company provides consulting services to businesses introducing or expanding their use of the platform.
The firm’s Scottish presence dates back to 2023, when it announced Glasgow as the location for its first European office. Working with Invest Glasgow, Scottish Development International and Skills Development Scotland, the company said the office would support clients across Europe while serving as the centre of its graduate development programme.
The latest recognition represents another milestone for that investment, although the company has not disclosed how many people it currently employs in Glasgow or elsewhere in Scotland.
While Great Place To Work’s methodology relies heavily on employee feedback rather than independent workplace audits, it differs from promotional awards by requiring participating organisations to achieve certification before becoming eligible for the annual rankings. The process includes confidential surveys assessing trust, fairness, respect and opportunities for development.
The published results, however, do not provide detailed information about individual organisations’ gender pay gaps, promotion rates, senior leadership representation or staff retention. As a result, the award should be viewed as evidence of employees’ reported workplace experience rather than a comprehensive assessment of every aspect of workplace equality.
